What does anti-Asian racism look like?

Recent hate crimes and anti-Asian sentiments are part of a broader historical narrative of systemic racism (e.g., the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882; the American colonialization of the Philippines, 1898-1946; the Watsonville Riots in 1930; Executive Order 9066 resulting in the internment of Japanese Americans in 1942; the objectification of Asian women; the Covid rhetoric; to name a few). A Filipino American, women-led publishing house, Paloma Press will be donating a portion of its proceeds to AAPI initiatives to help sustain long-term coalition-building and community-based solutions.
