Year in Review 2021

Peace and joy from our house to yours. We look back at this year with so much gratitude for your support of our small press.

In January, the second issue of our online magazine Migozine went live featuring the work of 28 poets on themes surrounding the pandemic, systemic racism, the presidential election, and transition.

In February, we released the poetry collection Shellback by Jeanne-Marie Osterman which immediately landed on the top 500 of Amazon’s Best Sellers Rank. It was also named a New York Public Library Staff Pick and subsequently earned a Kirkus Star, one of the most coveted designations in the book industry.

In April, we released Seven Skirts, a debut poetry collection by Belmont Poet Laureate Jacki Rigoni.

In July, Paloma Press, represented by author Jeanne-Marie Osterman, tabled at the 10th Annual New York City Poetry Festival.

In October, we released The Ruin of Everything, a short story collection by award-winning author Lara Stapleton, which was featured in The New York Times by book reviewer Tracy O’Neill.

In December, Jeanne-Marie Osterman’s Shellback was named one of Kirkus’ Best Books of 2021.

Despite the pandemic and other challenges this year, we continue to reimagine a better world through our books and communities. We wish all of you a replenishing holiday season. May 2022 be a waymaker, fairer and full of wonder.
