Congratulations to Antonio De Jesús López, San Mateo County Poet Laureate, on being named one of 22 poets laureate nationwide to receive a 2026 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship!
We’re especially proud to announce that Antonio’s community poetry project, One County Under Bars, will be forthcoming as an anthology from Paloma Press.
The project grows from Antonio’s trauma-informed poetry workshops in San Mateo County correctional facilities, and we’re pleased to collaborate with him on bringing this important work to readers.
